I made this delicious fruity porridge this morning. Oats are an excellent source of ‘slow release’ energy. This means then they are digested slower than many other cereals, and release sugars more slowly into the bloodstream, meaning you stay fuller for longer. Perfect for reducing the chances of getting hungry mid-morning, thereby reducing your chances of snacking on something calorie-laden. I used apple and blueberries but you can use other fruits e.g. peach, nectarine, plum, pear or blackberries.
